General Boat Repair
Boat Body Repair
Bordering the southeast portion of Illinois spanning 72 miles until it finds the Mississippi River, Smithland is one of the best fishing holes on the Ohio chain. Multiple feeder creeks filled with stumps, trees, and brush piles make great cover for catching Large Crappie, Bass, Bluegill, and of course Catfish! Sauger, White bass, Small Mouth Bass, are really picking up in popularity, and though I’ve never experienced it for myself, I’m told you have to fish for Stripers below the dam for the time of your life!
Bass and Catfish Tournaments run here frequently with even a few Crappie tournaments mixed in. Most take off at the Golconda Marina Boat Ramp.
There are few things more peaceful then running down the river and idling to the back of one of these large creeks and sinking a line.
Public ramps can be found at Old Shawneetown, Cave in Rock, Tower Rock, Elizabethtown, Rosiclare, Golconda Marina, Golconda and Barren Creek
